NL Technologies announces MSHA approval for Messenger RT Cap Lamp
NL Technologies today announced that the Messenger RT聽(Reverse Tracking) Cap Lamp has been approved by MSHA (Mine Safety聽Health Administration).聽The Messenger RT will allow coal mines to meet the requirements of the PPL-09 and Miner Act without having to install system infrastructure or cables聽past the load out point. In most, cases only small RFID tags are required,聽typically located at the intersection of the entries and the second open.
The MSHA approval number is 6D-42-8 PAR 96042.聽The approval will allow NL Technologies to begin shipping Messengers to any聽coal mine with a Wi-Fi network. While this includes the NL Digital network,聽they can be used with any system offering standards based Wi-Fi.聽Northern Light庐 Messengers have been widely installed in Australian coal聽mines since 2009.聽Messengers are available through Becker Wholesale Mine Supply based in聽Irwin Pennsylvania.
