Twin Metals underground mine is outside of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness! This misinformation is what causes great opposition to a viable project.
#2 – There was never a 20-year ban of new mining projects. The study which was to take ‘up to two years’ determined the 20-year ban was not justified.
#3 – Just as foreign investors are buying up recreational resorts up and down the North Shore, foreign investors invest in mining projects. No one ever complains about this.
#4 – Former Forest Service staffers speaking out have every right as everyone else.
#5 – Anti-mining groups giving any credibility to Richard Painter are really grasping at straws. Painter’s campaign for Minnesota Senator was way out there!
Let’s just see what Twin Metals mine plan is and then make comments.
