Exactly. As the photo caption states it, Uyuni is located in Bolivia. The image was used as reference only.
As you say, Bacanora plans to extract lithium from clay, a technology that has not yet been proven at mass scale. Bu that hasn’t stopped giants, such as Tesla, from signing a supply agreement with the miner. For more details please read: /bacanora-lithium-changes-mind-fund-flagship-sonora-mine/

It has nothing to do with Mexico. Further, Uyuni is a Li-rich brine, while Sonora is a hectorite, that is to say, a Li clay. The Li extraction process proposed by Bacanora for Sonora has not been tested at commercial scale.
