Highly skilled individual who performs duties related to the safe operation of diesel and electric drills at a highly skilled level.

Responsible for:
- Drilling quality primary and secondary blast holes, drilling to proper depth, and proper collaring of drill holes
- Identifying and reporting any mechanical issues on the drill and recognizing when bits are wearing and require replacement
- Recognizing hazards associated with drilling next to banks and high walls
- Drilling angle holes and drilling in native ground
Safely moves and positions power cables when operating drill around shovels
May be required to:
- Bend drill steels, change bits and stabilizers and assist maintenance personnel with pipe changes
- Operate manual or automated drills
- Manually measure drill holes after drilling for quality control
- Operate other pieces of mobile equipment as necessary for business needs
Responsible for the knowledge and safe performance of the following procedures: drilling in fill, using drill fire suppression system, loading drill on low-boy, breaking drill pipe, lowering and raising the mast, mounting and dismounting of drill, and drilling near overhead power lines
Responsible for knowing and performing proper tramming techniques, such as, properly and safely move from one drill hole to the next, properly and safely move from one bench to the next, properly and safely navigate on uneven grades, and properly securing the drill string
Frequently communicates and interacts with blasting crew to properly clear drill for blasting

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of mobile equipment operating experience
Knowledge of the proper pattern approach and proper sequence of drill patterns
Knowledge of ground composition and geology
Knowledge of blasting operations procedures
Ability to safely and properly lift heavy and unstable objects, such as drill bits and stabilizers
Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. Description

Oversees the management of MIS functions across multiple sites in Colorado, addressing both technical and operational demands. Serves as the primary liaison between site MIS management and Corporate MIS management to implement MIS strategies and ensure enterprise-wide alignment. The CO Manager IS ensures each site is equipped with the MIS resources required to support site operations and resolves issues promptly. This role also oversees support for large property areas, the complexities of underground operations, and multiple critical water treatment facilities. Additionally, the CO Manager IS serves as the escalation point for the Site Management Team.

Manage MIS functions at a group of sites that are geographically spread across Colorado
Overseas the technical and operational demands at each location including but not limited supporting the large property areas, complexities of underground operational, multiple critical water treatment operations
Responsible for the delivery and performance of MIS site services
Liaise with site General Managers and the Site Management Teams to communicate MIS strategy, present status, and resolve issues
Drive adoption and advocate use of MIS technologies and processes
Work closely with Corporate MIS Management to set MIS strategy, coordinate global project activities at their sites, resolve site MIS issues, and make personnel/role changes
Manage MIS Supervisors at each of the assigned sites by providing coaching and guidance on MIS and personnel matters
Review and approve project proposals to ensure appropriate resources are available to meet established timelines
Coordinate support with Project Manager to roll-out technologies at the sites

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and (10) years of experience in Information Systems, Desktop Management, Process Automation, or related area

Skilled worker in the electrical/instrumentation field whose duties include, but are not limited to the removal, repair and installation of electrical components and basic to intermediate troubleshooting.

Perform safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs and construction
Perform preventive maintenance, installation and repair of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment (i.e. substations, power distribution systems, switchgear motors, motor controls, systems and components, process controls, instrumentation and pneumatic equipment)

Experience working with low and medium voltages
Experience with AC and/or DC controls
Experience with instrumentation devices
Experience with diagnostic electrical test equipment

Criteria/Conditions

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see
Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the course of the workday
Must complete the pre-employment color perception as well as electrical/instrumentation assessment
May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation that includes weekends, holidays, and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime as business needs dictate
Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $28.50 - $38.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
